a visitor to our garden
Look at the little beauty we found in our front garden over the weekend! This is a blue-tongue lizard (I've never actually heard it being called a blue-tongue skink.) and as its name suggests it has a deep blue tongue. It is quite incredible. This is a baby lizard and they typically grow to about 30cm long. It's at times like this I am glad we don't have a dog or cat - but our neighbours do.
J fashioned a little tunnel out of an old ceramic vase and covered it up- in the hope that it has somewhere to hide when it needs to. I hope we can watch this baby grow and have babies too!
