I do like an atmospheric day. Today, here in Sydney, there's a chilly wind ("straight off the mountains"), grey skies and intermittent drizzle. So when I heard that my step-sister was coming around for lunch I decided today was the day to cook the onions that had been piling up and th potatoes too!
I made Stephanie Alexander's french onion soup and a baked potato rosti (both of which I hadn't made from the recipes before).
